SFT Training Camp to South Africa, March 2011

MAR3 (flight lands on the 4th)- MARCH 14th (flight lands March 15th in the AM)

Argus Bike race day is MARCH 13th

The chance reintroduction to a former swim teammate from Norway has lead to the discovery of this gem outside of Cape Town. Sissel and her husband now run the Rosendal Winery, Spa and Hotel.
2010 was our first visit and a great success. We are looking forward to some more bike rides through the local wine region, swims in the Worcester Reservoir and in the Robertson 50m pool in 2011. Run trails are numerous throughout the Vineyards. Our planned visit will also take in the Argus bike ride. The official and unofficial wine tasting proved popular and a highlight was the visit from the local Gospel Choir.

WHEN?
THURSDAY 3RD MARCH to the 14th March (
flight lands March 15th in the AM)

We have a group FLIGHT booking made for 20 people at £750, direct including bike carriage. Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more info.

ACCOMMODATION: There are 8 Double Rooms so we will have the whole place to ourselves as it only sleeps 16. Accommodation images can be seen here. PLEASE NOTE - due to there being so few rooms at the resort there is no option for single room supplement. You will be sharing with someone. Some bedrooms are twin, some are double. We will do our best to accommodate all requests. Make life easier by bringing a friend/partner. If they are not liking the idea of training then there is the option of a Safari day out, spa treatments and Winetasting. Those who did not train this year enjoyed the resort equally.

COST £1500
Price is going to include all training sessions, entry to the Race Argus, access to the Pools,  transfers to and from the airport, a sports massage, 8 night accommodation, with half board in Rosendal. 2 nights B&B in Capetown. Also included will be transport to the Worcester Resevoir for several visits.

Spa treatments are not included. Lunch is not included since eating while out on our Bike Rides proved popular or at the resevoir when openwater swiming. Flights are also not included.

HOW? Please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for full details of costs of the camp and likely flight times/prices.
