About Develop Front Crawl

Requirements

This course is for swimmers who can swim frontcrawl,  with face in the water breathing to the side for at least 200m. This course is designed to improve your current stroke.

Course Format

Week 1: Introductions, streamlining and kicking

Week 2: Rotation and arm recovery

Week 3: Rotation and timing

Week 4: Rotation and timing recap

Week 5: Feel for the water

Week 6: The catch

Week 7: Underwater pull

Week 8: The developing stroke

Please note these sessions are not yardage based. Emphasis is on performing the drills correctly with plenty of recovery time. We recommend that you take a rest day the day before the sessions so that you are fresh to fully focus on the drills we ask you to perform. The sessions will be tiring mentally as much as physically.

Where?

SFT offer develop front crawl course at Nuffield Health, a private membership facility in Shoreditch. You do not need to be a member of Nuffield Health to have lessons.  Non-members: please sign in at reception first.

What to bring

You will need training fins for your feet, a pull buoy and light coloured goggles.

How to book

  1. Click on the date you wish to book. This will open up more information. Then scroll down to REGISTER.
  2. Choose front crawl courses and use the calendar to select the required start date. Then select the blue arrow.
  3. You will then be prompted to Log-in to your account or Sign-up for a new account with us. Simply follow the steps on screen to check out. You will receive a confirmation email one week before the start of the course.
  4. Please check our terms and conditions. You will lose money if you do not turn up for the course.
